Start: 17:00 Sloane Square Station/Sedding Street bike dock (please arrive 15 minutes prior)

Finish: 20:00 approx, Sloane Square Station/Sedding Street bike dock

Tour Outline: Hippies/Mods v The Establishment Our exploration of this 'ultra rich' area is centred around the squares - Sloane Square, Eaton Square, Belgrave Square - and their surrounding small streets and mews where, back in the 60s, was an idiological battleground of young musicians and fledgling 'Hollywood-ites' against the older 'bowler hats' of The Establishment.

See early London homes of The Beatles, of their manager Brian Epstein, the home where he died. Our route takes in the former homes of Pete Townsend, Lambert & Stamp, Stones' Brian Jones, a Bee Gee, Marianne Faithfull, The Pretty Things, and Hollywood legends Judy Garland and Vivien Leigh. This is where a young Sharon Tate began her film career, where Jim Morrison hung up his leather trousers, and where Donny Osmond washed out his purple socks! This is also the setting for popular costume dramas, Upstairs/Downstairs, Downton Abbey and Julia Fellowes' recent Belgravia. Weekdays, the evening break can be at a place known to the Fab Four!

Mapicon Why SGT?icon

The Special Group Tours Advantage is our unique and intimate understanding of what you expect traveling in the UK and Europe. We have not only visited but have spent many years living in and loving the cultures you will experience down the ‘B’ Roads and off the beaten track. We have worked with local suppliers and our guide/companion team for over a decade, creating unique special interest itineraries. Special Group Tours offers our “insider” knowledge to you.

The SGT Small Group Touring Concept is traveling with just 4 - 14 guests per departure. It is our aim to introduce you to the 'real' country and its people, not just ticking the boxes of a standardized route and treating you as an individual and not a number. Our concept allows for a leisurely touring pace and flexibility to get off the beaten track to discover hidden gems. Of course you'll see the major sites but so much more too!

At Special Group Tours, it is our priority that you have the most enjoyable holiday possible. You deserve it!
