Full Day from London, MONDAYS 09:00 - approx 18:00

The region of the "The Heart of England" is famed for many things including quaint, thatched roof cottage villages, ancient market towns, charming antique and tea shops and, of course, a wondrous literary heritage. Come and enjoy a taste of 'Olde' England!

Our day sees us visiting the Bard’s hometown of Stratford-Upon-Avon, where you can discover the charming town and Shakespeare connections. Your visit will include time in the local church, burial place for the Bard, and the town centre, full of historic Tudor era buildings and lovely shops. Choose to visit the "in town" Shakespeare Houses as you please using the Shakespeare's Birthplace Pass (entrances included to your choice of Hall's Croft, Nash's House & New Place, and the iconic Shakespeare's Birthplace.)

The rest of our day will be spent day wandering through the wonderful Cotswolds villages, the inspiration for Tolkien as 'The Shire.' See ancient parish churches and market towns unchanged over the centuries, like Bibury, The Slaughters and Stow-on-the-Wold. There are the villages of Bampton & Swinbrook, each used as locations ofr the popular TV show Downton Abbey. Each village is unique and pretty in its own right and, if there is an interest, we might find time for a stop in a tea shop or antique shop en-route. With our small vehicle, we'll get where larger coaches can't and avoid the commercialized 'honey-pots,' discovering the best!
