A wonderful day out exploring the historic towns and villages along the River Thames from Royal Windsor with its fabulous castle to sleepy Marlow and historic Henley. We recommend this tour for anyone wanting to experience the best of traditional England on a relaxed day out from the city.

Our “Traditional England” tour  – a day of British traditions, from a Royal Castle to cream teas, traditional village pubs and riverside walks – see the real England in a day.

Your day begins with a stop at Runnymeade, a water meadow alongside the River Thames. From here you drive to the Royal town of Windsor where you can visit the Castle and State Apartments or take a boat trip on the river (seasonal).  From Windsor you travel to Henley where you have a choice of things to do, from riverside walks, boat trips, cafes and traditional village pubs, where you can sample their locally brewed ale. In the afternoon you will explore the lovely scenery and pretty villages of the Chilterns on route to the quiet riverside town of Marlow. Here you have free time where you can sample a traditional afternoon cream tea, visit a local Inn or take a walk along the river. After a relaxed afternoon you return to central London.
