Tour Dates: Your choice! Begin on any day of the week. This tour can be taken as an independant rail package OR as a fully escorted guided tour. For an independant rail package, you would have your rock tour is each city with a qualified rock guide, your hotels and rail tickets pre-booked. You would travel between cities on your own via the train. TENTATIVE ITINERARY DAY ONE Today, our Full Day Monsters of Rock tour. The morning tour will focus on the Summer of Love, visiting Central and North London (Camden, Hamstead, Highgate and ‘still swingin’ Soho) followed by the Classic Rock and Beatles tour, showing you parts of the Capitol missed by most tourists. Get an insider’s view of Chelsea and the Kings Road, Kensington, Notting Hill - including some famous film sites and St John's Wood. Go where the walking tours can’t! Between, enjoy lunch at the Rolling Stones restaurant/museum, Sticky Fingers. Artists featured include: The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Queen, Sex Pistols, Clash, Eric Clapton, Bob Marley, Donovan, Frank Zappa, Dylan, Bowie, The Kinks, Fleetwood Mac, Van Morrison, Oasis, Boy George, Madness, U2, Blur, Elton John, Madonna and many, many more!! DAY THREE Beatles Liverpool - Our own Magical Mystery tour of Beatles sites including: Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields, Jacaranda, Grapes, Ye Cracke, St George's Church, boyhood homes & hangouts, Liverpool Art College. Entrances included into John’s boyhood home at Mendips & Paul’s boyhood home on Forthlin Road. If we have time, perhaps you will enjoy a ferry ‘cross the Mersey! Tonight you'll be free to party “oop North” style in Manchester - either take in a concert (perhaps a university gig) and/or explore one of the UK's most vibrant nightclub scenes. DAY FOUR Manchester, the UK's greatest 'hidden' rock secret! 'What Manchester does today, London does tomorrow' has been this city proud boast. This is a great and historic city that is enjoying a cultural renaissance and worth a visit in its own right. Where do we start with the music? Herman's Hermits, Graham Nash and The Hollies, 10CC, Simply Red, Factory Records, Oasis, The Smiths, The Hacienda and Twenty-four Hour party people (Acid House music), Happy Mondays, John Mayall, The Doves, Joy Division, The Buzzcocks, The Bee Gees, Barclay James Harvest, The Verve, The Fall, James, New Order, The Stone Roses, M People, Take That …the list is endless. There must be something in the water! You'll enjoy a fully-guided tour of the rock sites, stars homes, album cover and lyric references. This afternoon, those guests joining one of our England Tours from Manchester tomorrow or flying home from here can depart the tour whilst the tour bus heads back to London. En route south we'll see a few more rock sites (and album cover photos that you can get yourself into!) If you going it on oyur own, you'll hop the train back to London.
