This tour starts at 8:30am and finishes at approximately 9:24pm, a total duration of approximately 14 hours.
Welcome Arrive at Euston Station at 08:00am and meet your representative by the Ticket Office who will check you in and escort you to your reserved seats. Train departs at 08:30am arriving at Oxenholme in the Lake District at 11:08am, where your guide will meet you on the platform.
Oxenholme and Lake District On arrival you will be met by a professional local guide who will take you to Windermere. Here you will have a short break before we drive to Grasmere to see Wordsworth's Dove Cottage, the Wordsworth family graves and Gingerbread shop. We then drive through the Yew dale valley to Coniston Water where we will enjoy a Cruise on the Lake, then onto *Hill Top, the home of Beatrix Potter. We visit Tarn Hows and the medieval village of Hawkshead with its quaint alleyways, 12th century church and 16th century grammar school attended by William Wordsworth.
Cream Tea at the World of Beatrix Potter We drive to Bowness on the shores of Lake Windermere to visit the World of Beatrix Potter. Here you will be served cream tea in the unique indoor Peter Rabbit Tea Garden. Your guide will then escort you back to the train station for your return journey back to London leaving Oxenholme at 18:29pm arriving at 21:24pm.
Please note that Hill Top, Beatrix Potter's House, is closed on a Friday, but the gardens and shop are open.
