Thursday
Today’s tour takes us into Scotland where we visit Jedburgh, famous for its beautiful abbey which you will have time to explore if you so wish. We continue to the next Abbey town, Melrose, where we have lunch. In the afternoon, we stop at Scots View, with views over the River Tweed and across to the Eildon Hills. There is the opportunity to walk to the nearby Wallace Monument. Our final call of the day is to the third Abbey town, Kelso.

Friday
Our tour will take us to Wallington Hall, with its lawns, walled garden, lakes and woodland.?We lunch at Wallington, then a tour of the Hall. On leaving Wallington, we make our way to Keilder Water, the largest man made lake in the U.K. and drive along its western shore to the Visitor Centre. We finish the day with the 15 mile forest drive.

After lunch the return tour is through Bamburgh, Seahouses, and Beadnell. Timings are dependant upon the tides. If tides are not suitable, this day may be changed to another. We also visit Alnwick Castle, the 13th century home of the Earl of Northumberland. Our journey back to Otterburn is via the Cheviot hills.

Tuesday
Our first visit is to the small and ancient town of Corbridge. From here we make our way to Hexham where you will have ample time to explore the Abbey. After lunch we drive to Hadrian’s Wall and visit Chesters Walled Garden.
