DAY FOUR Today spend time in one of London’s premier Rock Museums – your choice of either the British Music Experience OR the Hard Rock Cafe’s Vault.

The British Music Experience – The Who singer Roger Daltrey has loaned the tassled outfit he wore on stage at Woodstock, while Sir Mick Jagger has given an Ossie Clark-designed 1970s jumpsuit. David Bowie has handed over his Ashes To Ashes clown suit and a classic Ziggy Stardust costume. A vintage dress worn by Amy Winehouse in her Tears Dry On Her Own video and a live DVD can be seen. Noel Gallagher’s iconic Union Jack guitar is on show, along with guitars played by Paul Weller, Marc Bolan and Blur. The memorabilia is accompanied by footage of the objects in action, while fans can explore the history of pop and rock in a series of hi-tech zones. Visitors can scroll through a giant timeline, search a map containing 4,000 British rock and pop landmarks, and learn about record players and radiograms in a lesson about recording formats.

The original Hard Rock Cafe Vault is home to a wide range of rock memorabilia – ever dream about playing a guitar owned by Hendrix or another rock star? Here’s your big break! The Hard Rock Vault tour is where you can not only look but hold and (best of all) have your photograph taken ‘playing’ a priceless guitar that they have on display there.
