Small groups accommodate from just 6 - 14 guests so you are able to get more in depth, discovering local treasures those ‘herded’ on big bus tours miss. All itineraries offer a mix of seeing the iconic sites and meeting the locals, off the beaten track. SGT feels it is important to go exploring via the ‘b’ roads since it is the best way to really get the full flavor of the places you are visiting.

SGT can assist you with a vacation on any theme of your choice; popular themes include genealogy, gardens, literary, culinary and wine, spiritual exploration, castles & history, mystical/Celtic, quilting, rock & roll, trains and planes, World War battlefields & England’s Home Front.
The scheduled tour product is designed to be as inclusive as possible for value’s sake, including accommodation, entrance fees and most dinners. Tours are flexible in nature so you can enjoy your independence without the hassles of driving yourself. Rest assured that your needs are cared for as you are in the company of your local driver/guide/companion. On a custom designed itinerary, your tour package inclusions are flexible to suit your individual needs and budget. Custom packages accommodate parties from just 2 guests and up.

SGT has worked with the same team of local suppliers & driver/guide/companions for over ten years and the owner spent years as an operations manager and tour guide based in the UK. Ground suppliers are hand picked with your comfort and expectations in mind. Several months of every year are spent re-visiting places of interest by SGT staff to ensure the quality you deserve is maintained.
Special Group Tours is a member of several trade associations including the National Tour Association and the Specialty Travel Agent Association and is recommended by several tourist boards including Visit Britain and Visit Wales. Kate Carrigan, the owner/operator of SGT, has been in the tourism industry since 1992 and has been a specialist in tours to Britain and Europe since 2000. SGT also provides support on ad-hoc marketing projects for organizations within the trade.
