TENTATIVE ITINERARY
Day 1 We travel north and head for the Roman and Medieval city of Chester. With over 2000 years of history, this is one of Europe's top heritage sites. The city is surrounded by walls and also has military museums and a Roman Amphitheatre. After our visit we make the short journey across the border into Wales, visiting some truly amazing scenery on the North Wales coast.
Day 2 8.00 am Departure from hotel. The day begins with a visit to the fishing village of Conwy, home to one of the most imposing Castles in Britain, Conwy Castle. Built on a rock overlooking the city the castle was built by the English King Edward the First to ‘contain' the Welsh. After Conwy we head to Snowdonia, where we have a guided tour through the magnificent mountain scenery of the Snowdonia National Park. Included in the tour price is a memorable steam train ride into the mountains!
Please note that as this tour is normally heavily subscribed, it may be necessary to make your reservation well in advance, especially if you are booking flights to or from the UK to coincide with a specific tour date.
