Golfing in Wales
The delights that Wales has to offer the golfer continue to grow in quantity and quality. Since the Wales Tourist Board first began to make a concerted attempt to share its golfing treasures with the outside world the game has enjoyed an expanding reputation.
Wales now boasts 178 golf courses, many of them unparalleled championship courses, such as The Celtic Manor, venue for the 2003 British Open, and home of The Ian Woosnam Golf Academy.
Wales is extremely pleased to be hosting the 2010 Ryder Cup.
Despite having even more majestic rivalry from other attractions than it does elsewhere in Wales, the north is a golfing goldmine and the way the courses have developed around the prime spots allows you to play and sightsee at the same time.
