TENTATIVE ITINERARY

Day 1, Wed Depart USA to Germany. Your flight includes meals, drinks and in-flight entertainment for the journey

Day 2, Thurs Arrive in Munich and transfer to your hotel. Balance the day at leisure. This evening, enjoy a welcome drink and dinner (D): MUNICH

Day 3, Fri This morning, tour Munich and view the major sights of the city including the Nymphenburg Palace, the summer palace of the Wittlesbach dynasty and the Olympic Stadium. Travel to the Marienplatz to see the Glockenspiel clock with its mechanical moving figures. This afternoon, enjoy a half day excursion to the Bavarian Alps. Travel to Oberammergau, world-famous for its Passion Plays, woodcarvers and richly painted facades of its houses. After lunch at a local restaurant, depart for Linderhof Castle built by “Mad” King Ludwig II and admire the ornately decorated castle with its gardens and fountains. Return to Munich for an evening at leisure (B ,L): MUNICH

Day 4, Sat This morning depart for Salzburg, home to the Sound of Music and birthplace of Mozart. Afternoon sightseeing includes a walking city tour of Salzburg to view sights such as the cathedral and Getreidegasse with its wrought iron signs (B, D): SALZBURG

Day 5, Sun Today, cross the border to the Czech Republic with a stop in medieval Cesky Krumlov, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This well preserved town is a jewel of old Bohemia and looks very much as it did centuries ago. Continue to Prague and enjoy dinner in a local restaurant tonight (B, D): PRAGUE

Day 6, Mon This morning, your sightseeing tour of Prague includes a visit to the Royal Castle District at Hradčany, former residence of the Bohemian kings. Enjoy magnificent views of the city and Charles Bridge below. Visit St. Vitus Cathedral and view St. George's Basilica. Walk the famed Golden Lane where you will spot author Franz Kafka's house. Continue to the Old Town Square to view the famous Town Hall Astronomical Clock. Balance the day at leisure or choose an optional walking tour of the Jewish Quarter which includes the Jewish Museum, the Old Cemetery, Altneu Shul and the synagogues Pinkas, Klaus, Maisel and Spanish ($55) (B): PRAGUE

Day 7, Tues Full day at leisure to enjoy Prague, or choose an optional morning tour to view the countryside of the Czech Republic. Visit Nelahosevez Castle with its collection of famous paintings and original manuscripts of Mozart and Beethoven. Also, visit the birthplace of the famous musical composer, Dvorak. Balance of the day at leisure ($49) (B): PRAGUE

Day 8, Wed Today cross Saxony to the Baroque art city of Dresden, also known as “the Florence on the Elbe River.” Enjoy a walking city tour to view sights including Zwinger Palace , the Semper Opera and the newly rebuilt Frauenkirche. Visit the stunning Green Vault museum of applied arts. Continue to Berlin, proud capital of reunited Germany (B): BERLIN

Day 9, Thurs This morning, enjoy a guided tour of Berlin. View the major sights of the city, including the Reichstag building, Brandenburg Gate and Checkpoint Charlie, the remaining symbol of the former Berlin Wall. View the Unter den Linden Street and Kurfurstendam, as well as the State Opera House and the cathedral. Balance the day at leisure or choose an optional tour to the city of Potsdam and visit the Cecilienhof and Sanssouci Palaces ($49) (B): BERLIN

Day 10, Fri Transfer to the airport for your departure flight (B).
