Botswana - Landlocked Botswana offers some of the last truly unspoiled wilderness on the continent, with some of the largest wildlife herds left in the world. Two of the world’s most fragile environments cover a great portion of Botswana – Kalahari Desert with its eerie outlying ‘pan’ depressions; and Okavango Delta, a birding paradise in a vast maze of islands and channels, a small part of which has been set aside as the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. Nearby, Chobe River, Linyanti Wetlands, and Savuti Channel ecosystem draw brilliant birds, strong herds of elephant, and large numbers of antelope, from the desert-adapted Oryx to wetlands-loving lechwe.

On average, your 7 – 12 day Big Five land package vacation will cost between $5000 and $7000 USD per person based on two people sharing one room and staying in ‘moderate’ en-suite properties, including meals and entrances. The final rate for your individual vacation package will be determined by the number of days you travel, how you travel between overnight stops (flights, train, car, coach, overland truck etc,) the level of your accommodations (4 star, 5 star etc,) the number of participants on your tour and how many special activities such as scuba diving, white water rafting etc are included. International airfare is priced separately and can be added to your package if you wish.
